Discover Kia Forum: Your Guide to Upcoming Events, Activities, and Dining
For nearly 50 years, the Kia Forum has been a go-to destination for travelers and locals alike to experience unforgettable performances, sporting events, and history-in-the-making. Look forward to experiencing it all on your next stay in West LA.
A Los Angeles Lineage
The Forum opened in 1967 and quickly became the go-to destination for major sporting events and live music concerts.
Upon opening, The Forum became the home for the Los Angeles Lakers basketball team and the Los Angeles Kings hockey team, and has gone on to host everything from tennis to boxing, auto racing to the 1984 Summer Olympics.
Notable musical acts have also flooded to The Forum during world concert tours, including names like Queen, The Jackson 5, David Bowie, and Jimi Hendrix, who all performed at the height of their careers. Prince played 21 consecutive shows in 2011; Michael Jackson rehearsed at the venue for the This Is It concert series; Harry Styles played a 15-night residency in 2022. In 2028, it will play host to a range of gymnastics events in the LA Summer Olympics.
